Where did Cheeky Girls come from?
Cheeky Girls was born in August 2004 after the movement was introduced at the annual Can-Fit-Pro conference for trainers & instructors. By summer 2005, after a visit to the S Factor Studio in L.A., a studio was created with two poles and shared with 4 – 5 students at a time. Excited and intrigued clients mingled in this inviting space and learned about themselves and others. Cheeky Girls has now moved to its new space in downtown Whitby and can accommodate up to eight students at a time. Cheeky Girls has been introduced to Durham and the goal is for every woman to have a pole in her house!!!
Where is the Studio located?
The location is top secret and very Cheeky! Detailed location is only shared via email or phone inquiries for parties and classes, and we hope to keep it a secret as long as possible to protect the privacy of every Cheeky Girl.
What types of classes are offered?
Cheeky Girls offers classes to Women, Young Women, Couples and new Mom’s. We currently offer three levels, expanding as we grow, which covers a full spectrum of stripping, lap dancing and pole work. All courses are 6-weeks in duration and new students start at Level 1 and work their way up. Young women’s classes vary from the standard Cheeky class, in order to promote self-confidence, self-acceptance and fun rather than focusing on dancing for a partner.
What is different about Cheeky Girls?
- Cheeky Girls maintains the original movement, and the way that it is taught. We respect the privacy of all individuals and their needs or wants for taking the class.
- We feel that this class is truly for you and you alone, unless you decide to share it with someone special. Therefore we don’t offer a public recital or performance at the end of a session. As previously mentioned, this space is special to the students who attend and it is much like a girl’s private club – sorry members only!
- We provide you with the highest quality instruction, in a safe and non-judgemental environment; to support you in your on-going pursuit of health and fitness and to challenge you to new levels of physical and emotional well-being.
- The classes are small, allowing for more personal attention, which ensures comfort with the movements and helps to develop a feeling of safety between students. We encourage students to remain with their original class all the way through for this particular reason.
Who takes a Cheeky Girls class?
We have fabulous women of all ages, shapes and sizes that take the classes and let me tell you, the more curves, the better you look doing the movement. We have had students as young as 18 to as young-at-heart as 65 yrs. old. Adjustments can be made, and the safety of the student is always first and foremost.
I have seen Cheeky ware on some of my friends, do you sell it at the studio?
Definetly... We are always coming up with new ideas to make our clients feel special and a part of the wonderful world of Cheeky Girls. Currently we sell boy shorts, tanks and thongs. In future, we hope to also sell shoes, sweaters and other speciality items – who knows, maybe a instructional DVD is in order!
Do you offer classes for men?
This question has been asked a lot and I am always open to suggestions. We can offer private sessions, so please call or email the studio to discuss your specific requirements.
